| Introduction | I currently serve as Chair of the Communications Theatre Arts Department at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. As professor of communications/journalism I teach the majority of the upper-level and graduate journalism courses at the university and serve as adviser for the award-winning student newspaper The South Texan. I am adviser and sponsor for the Javelina Press Club and the TAMUK Advertising Team. I retired as a captain from Texas Army National Guard, served as a board member (including president) of the Corpus Christi ISD Board, president of the Mexican American School Board Asso. of Texas and I am member of TIPA, AEJMC, CMA and other journalism profession association. I published my first book - Hispanics in the Media - in 2008. |
