| Introduction | Salvation Army personnel throughout the Gulf Coast began mobilizing on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 to respond to Tropical Storm Gustav, expected to develop into a serious hurricane by early next week. The Salvation Army is prepared to respond immediately following potential landfall to serve the immediate needs of survivors by providing shelter, food, water, ice, cleaning supplies, baby supplies, and hygiene products. They already are providing food to relief workers and evacuees through the Southern United States |
