| Introduction | Hello there, the name is Pete and for fun and my everyday job I am a web developer for a local company in the Southern New Jersey area. Normally I am in charge of programming the back-end of the web sites I create but I also do some front-end work as well. Some of the languages that I use on an everyday basis are, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, SQL, ColdFusion, PHP, WebDNA and once in a while I'll do some fiddling with ASP, ActionScript and XML. I'm not a huge fan of using and sort of WYSIWYG when I develop so I normally code everything by hand. I have been in this industry for just about 3 years now I believe and I did convert from being a computer and network tech to a web developer on my own without any schooling. Just by reading, doing, reading some more and doing some more. |
