| Introduction | After a happy childhood in Kent, I first gained my independence moving to the West Midlands to attend Birmingham University. Whilst I was very fortunate in the range of holiday destinations my parents took me to, my appetite for travelling really took a huge boost at University from which I attained work placements in Australia and South Africa. I trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Birmingham, before moving into Industry where I found my specialised niche within the SME (Small to Medium-sized Enterprises)sector. Most recently, I established by own business supporting a range of SME clients in a part-time capacity. This career move was specifically geared towards providing a better work/life balance, i.e. Enabling me to continue enjoying the same professional challenges I've always had, but giving greater opportunity to spend more time with the family and on other personal projects such as this trip to South America. |
