Introduction Currently, I am a 4th year medical student studying Chinese medicine in Portland, OR. I have a background in athletics having been awarded a division I scholarship to play basketball at Jacksonville State University and post college, training professional and elite athletes. My undergraduate work is in nutrition. Less than a year out of college I was in a life threatening car accident which transformed my path from athletics to healing. It lead me to explore and study acupuncture, Chinese herbs, qi gong, meditation, and other eastern approaches. It has also inspired my work in PTSD, and the role that the emotions play in relation to health. One of the deepest aspects of my healing practice is how familial piety can help us achieve optimum health. I also have a desire to help individuals heal from cancer. This was inspired from a young age when my grandmother passed away in our home with breast cancer. Since the age of 12, the time of her passing, I began my quest to educate myself on where this disease stems from and how to prevent its occurance. I am also a holder of the Jin Jing Gong ancient Qi Gong lineage passed on from my teacher Master Wang in Sichuan, China.
