| Introduction | I am a political scientist by training and an educator and health advocate by choice. I am Director of the new MS in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University, and, as a research scholar at ISERP, am coordinating the Faculty Seminar in Narrative Genetics at Columbia. I also work as a health advocate, currently with Raising Women's Voices, a coalition of women's health advocacy organizations working for health reform. |
