| Introduction | Joanne Miller was raised in the upper Everglades. She has camped and hiked extensively throughout Florida. She has taught environmental education for the Lee County School Board as a helping teacher, and was based out of the Calusa Nature Center, located in Fort Myers. Joanne was also a founding member of the S.W. FL. K-9 Search Unit; and holds a tracking certificate. Joanne has also been featured on "Inside Edition" for rescuing a man lost in the mangroves. Additionally, she guided the "Inside Edition" film crew into mangrove islands for the filming of the segment "Mangrove Man". |
