| Introduction | Much has been written about the Anas acuta, notably by Duncan Winning. How it was the first commercially produced sea kayak back in 1972, though various home built versions had been knocking around since the 1960s. Despite 40 years worth of design effort by individuals and big corporations, there is still no better all round sea kayak, a boat for all seasons and all conditions. Just try one and see. If you are over 75kg it will be best as a day or short trip boat. Otherwise 10 days food and all the camping kit is no problem. If you feel the need more space, how on earth are you going to launch and land from a rocky shore with all that weight on board? |
