Introduction | Life is painful and beautiful. "The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord!" My name is Ariel and I have been broken and healed by my Maker. I have given up trying to keep control over my life, because it is impossible. Jesus has it and that is all that matters. I know he will work out everything to his ultimate glory and our ultimate good. So in the meantime, think deeply, laugh heartily, work eagerly and love intensely. |
Favorite Movies | Patema Inverted, is probably the best. Also, The Lego Movie, anything by Studio Ghibli, Truman Show, Ernest & Celestine, Prince of Egypt, Sherlock (BBC show), Song of the Sea, Tangled, Sense & Sensibility (BBC) Emma, Little Women, First Impressions, a lot more I can't remember at the moment |
Favorite Music | How To Train Your Dragon soundtrack by John Powell. Everything else is inferior. Haha, just kidding, Gungor, Regina Spektor, Sia, Jillette Johnson, A Fine Frenzy, those are some of my faves. |
Favorite Books | The Bible, Heaven (by Randy Alcorn), The Art and Craft of Writing Christian Fiction, Mere Christianity, Demon: A Memoir, by Tosca Lee, Forbidden, (and the rest of the series) by Tosca Lee and Ted Dekker, Just Ella, by Annette K. Larson, and anything by C.S. Lewis. |
You have a red jar of cedar chips. Why do moths miss the forest?
Moths miss the forest because it's not there. It's not there because I cut it all down, ground and compressed it into chips, and put them in a red jar. What you failed to mention was that the only forest the moths miss was a cedar forest - because, of course, that's the only kind of chips I have in my jar.
