| Introduction | Hi! I’m Dawna, congratulations on your pregnancy. I look forward to meeting you, guiding you, and supporting you through your birth journey. For most of my life, I've known that childbearing support was my true calling. In 2010, I pursued my dreams and became a certified birth doula through the Doulas of North America (DONA). I have assisted many expecting families through their journeys and feel blessed to welcome each new family. I am a native of Florida. Prior to becoming a doula, I served 4 years in the United States Army as a field medic. I believe the satisfaction of a woman’s birth experience influences the way she feels about herself and her abilities as a mother. My goal as your doula is to support and assist you in achieving a birth that is reflected upon as a positive experience...as YOU define it. Every birth is unique. My services are custom fit to each individual family. It is often overlooked that your partner and your family are having a baby too! I will bring reassurance, comfort and knowledge into your life changing moment allowing for your partner and family to exercise the unconditional love that a laboring mom needs the most. |
