| Introduction | Growing up I wanted to be a lot of things: a marine biologist, a nurse, a Disney Princess.
The ocean scares me. I don't like blood, needles, or people throwing feces at me. And I've only recently come to terms with that fact that I am just not meant to be a Princess. I hope, however, that I am meant to be a novelist. This journal will - hopefully - chronicle my journey in completing my first novel-length manuscript, seeking and winning an agent, and *crosses fingers* strutting down the road to publication.
