| Introduction | I consider my job as an artist, in the words of Joseph Campbell, “to translate knowledge and information into experience”. For me the most pressing information to translate into a visual experience is the awareness of the decay of the natural world, the loss of habitat and diversity. While searching for the beauty that still remains, I cannot overlook the rapid changes taking place. I am interested in the layers, both literally and metaphorically. I am interested in painting's power to communicate in a poetic way. |
