| Introduction | I am a wife, a mother of two children and a Grade One French Immersion teacher. I have been teaching for 19 years with a few maternity leaves in between. I began my teaching career in Toronto where I was raised after my family moved from Montreal. I have been fortunate enough to teach at several different schools where I was able to learn with different types of educators and families. I have taught French Immersion Senior Kindergarten, English JK/SK, English Grade 4, and Core French (Gr.4-6). Moving to the Hamilton area in 2007 has allowed me to get back to what I love most: teaching French Immersion in the Primary Grades. It was very exciting to be part of the opening of the F. I. Program at Guy B. Brown School in Sept. 2007 when I taught FI SK. I happily taught FI SK for 3 years and Sept 2012 marks my third year teaching FI Gr. 1 at Guy B. Brown. |
