| Introduction | Fire Hydrant is a former student politician. It rolled for UBC's Board of Governors thrice, losing by as few as 6 votes. It likes being obnoxious and sarcastic, and annoys UBC administrators in its spare time. It has a mind like a steel trap, but is actually made of cast iron.
The human interpreter for Fire Hydrant is Darren Peets, a PhD student in physics. Among other roles, Darren has been on the University Town Committee since mid-2004, served on the South Campus Plan Working Group, and is the GSS rep on the Technical Advisory Committee for the Vancouver Campus Plan. Darren can also be sarcastic and/or obnoxious, and has been known to irritate UBC administrators himself. F.H. lives next to Darren's TV. |
