| Introduction | Since my first flight at the age of three months in a C-47/DC-3, aviation hasn't been far away. In June 2015 I flew in (and flew) a two seat Spitfire T9 MJ627 and in 2019 added ML407 to my logbook. Currently working at Duxford in the Film Archive, I completed a project accessioning RAF gun camera film from WWII to record pilot/squadron info in order to enable the public to search the database via the IWM Collections Online. After almost nine years I moved to old Air Ministry film and then Cold War era Soviet films. A further batch of RAF gun camera film has now been stacked on my shelves for viewing, so am back where I started! My photos of airfield activity at Duxford are usually snapped during my post lunch saunters around the site - sometimes I am lucky to catch a hangar shuffle, aircraft out on the airfield or something flying. |
