| Introduction | A Francophile and wine lover for the last 20 years, I currently live in Belgium. A biochemist by education, I added an MBA in 2007 from the Vlerick School of Management, (Belgium). Friends of mine will tell you that I am a die-hard pinot noir fan. Beaune is Mecca, and Ted Lemon of Littorai wines (CA) produces the best pinot in the US. Sure, I do drink other wines, but above all, however, I seek out wines that are well balanced, lighter than heavy in body, and that reflect their terroir. I am a huge promoter of small independent winemakers who tend their land responsibly and make their wines as naturally as possible so to let the true terroir shine through. I have an Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) in the UK, have been tasting wines for over 20 years and founded, joined, and tagged along with many tasting groups. I love French cuisine and European comfort food in general. I’m a fan of SlowFood movement and support local and organic producers whenever possible. I spent 14 years in biotech but now I focus my time building a new online sales brand - Monks Cellar. |
