IntroductionMy name is Roy Christie. I grew up beside a small stream and I have been designing flies to match trout food for nearly fifty years. I tie generally from size 10 to 24 I have been published by the Fly Dressers Guild, Fly Fishing and Fly Tying, Trout and Salmon, The Grayling Society, Trout Fisherman, Fly Tier, Fish and Fly, American Angler, Fly Fisherman, Total Flyfisher, Yale Anglers Journal and in Australia's Freshwater Fishing - all of whom I thank for allowing me to present my ideas to a greater readership. I have demonstrated my designs at many shows internationally for which I thank my hosts. Some of my designs have been published in the following volumes - Tying Emergers by Schollmeyer and Leeson. Modern Midges by Rick Takahashi and Jerry Hubka. I tied the commemorative files for the bicentennial of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson in 2005 for the Salmon and Trout Association. I have now returned to my home waters and will continue to refine my works.
