| Introduction | Hello, and welcome to Mystic Wood Primitives. Just a little about myself; I am a lover of all things primitive, handmade and time worn. I live in Eastern North Carolina. Once upon a time I owned a very old house in a tiny town. It had been built we believe in the late 18th or early 19th century and over the many years of it's life it had changed to more of a Victorian style except for the three original rooms. She was a large interesting house with much spirit along with a few actual spirits but we lived there together sharing our love for the gentle old soul of the house. I sold the house a few years ago and have missed it terribly. Join me as I share my love of antiques, folkart all things of nature and my quest to find once again the perfect old house. I love to sew, cook, paint and spend time with my my family, and fur kids. I learned quilting and embroidery from elderly ladies born in the late 1880's. I learned to cook and mend from their daughters who like them had survived war and depression. Make do was a way of life for us and those were happy simple times. Please remember adopt, don't shop and have you r pets spayed and neutered. |
