Introduction | My interest in writing for children is primarily focused on non fiction themes, especially biographies, historical narratives and books that give children hope in challenging seasons of their lives. I am part of a local critique group that meets monthly. My post-secondary training included layout and printing and theological studies. I homeschooled our four children for ten years and then I earned a Diploma in the Rehabilitation Practitioner Studies Program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton. That led me to work for the Edmonton Public School Board for 15 years as an educational assistant and the final six years as the library manager for a K – 9 school. Having recently retired from that position I now spend time with my ten grandchildren and write for them and all who are young at heart. Although we have faced various challenges along the way we are thankful for our children and our many blessings. |
