Introduction	I first began working with children in 2002 as a junior in high school as an afternoon assistant helping out in the classrooms. I continued to work for the same organization through college and after college as well. In August of 2008 I took a lead teaching position of a pre-k class for a Baltimore City Head Start program. I only spent 1 year in the classroom realizing that while I absolutely love children, being in the classroom was not the capacity in which I wish to work with them. I’m currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Early Childhood Studies-Teaching Adults in the Early Childhood Field, I would like to work in higher education field focusing on professional development of those already in the field. The reason I choose this field is because I have a lot of experience working with the early childhood population which I enjoyed very much. I feel like this program will give me the skills necessary to move up the ladder of success. I would also love to build education and training courses to be utilized in the classroom.
