Introduction	A brief explanation of the name: when I started reading blogs a couple years ago, I was in Divinity School. I'm particularly interested in how concepts of gender and of God/dess relate to how we understand our social structures and constructs. Theologian is actually not the study of God, but the study of a male god. Thealogy is the study of a female god/dess. I use the moniker Thealogian not to say that I only study female divinity, but to demonstrate how Theologian is a gendered term and a gendered discipline. I don't believe in a human god/dess anyway, but I do know that how God has been described as male has justified the patriarchy which hurts us all, but especially women and girls.
