| Introduction | I started this blog to keep everyone updated while my husband is deployed to Afghanistan.
Some people have asked why Randy is being deployed. He received a scholarship through the Air Force to pay for medical school. He graduated July 2009 from residency and started his 3 year "payback" to the Air Force. Right away his group was put into the "deployment bucket". This is a term meaning that you are eligible for deployment during a specific time frame. Needless to say he was chosen pretty fast. He will be in Afghanistan until the end of August of 2010. We have 3 children. Lucy is 7, Maddie is 6 and Johnny is 2.5. Even though this is the most challenging period I have had to face I do know the Lord has his hand on us during this journey apart. |
