| Introduction | For as long as I can remember, I've been writing, and since the time I could read, I've been reading cookbooks. I feel I had little choice in this matter, as I regularly came in contact with high levels of Julia Child, Jacques Pepin and Great Chefs of the Southwest throughout my early childhood. Such exposure, studies have shown, will almost certainly lead to obsession. But don't fret, my darlings, for I am getting help. In fact, my primary means of therapy is sharing my culinary adventures at DallasEats. Were it not for blogging, my condition would surely be worse. I'd probably be at Sur La Table every morning, pacing back and forth in front of the door, awaiting the 10 o'clock turn of the lock - in a cunning disguise on Wednesdays and Fridays, so as not to alarm the staff with the frequency of my visits. ("Louise. It's her again. What should we do? Why on earth does she come in just to stare at the pepper grinders for hours on end? Is she wearing one of those MedicAlert bracelets? Maybe there's someone we could call...") |

| Favorite movies | Even if there was money on it, I don't think I'd be able to come up with a complete list of my favorite movies and then just leave it alone. I'd be back here once a day (at least), adding or subtracting until it drove me to distraction. Let's just skip it. |
