Introduction	I was a zoo keeper at the Toronto Zoo for 22 years, working with a wide variety of wild animals over the course of that time. I've had the wonderful opportunity to raise various baby animals ranging from gorillas to meerkats to dwarf crocodiles. During my time at the Toronto Zoo, I took university courses part time and eventually obtained first a Bachelor of Science degree and later a Master's degree in Environmental Studies. In 1991 I co-founded a Canadian charity called Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainfores Conservation (COTERC). We operate a field research station in Costa Rica as well as providing educational material to Ontario schools.
