| Introduction | I'm a 60-something grandmother who hails from Florida originally, but now lives in the Pacific Northwest. It's a place that brings great joy and contentment to my life. I have three wonderful sons and an equally wonderful stepson and stepdaughter, and three amazing daughters-in-law, and they have graced this world and my life with five incredibly bright, talented, gorgeous boys and three precious girls who are my joy. I married my heart's companion of several years in 2011, and we revel in each other's love and companionship. I'm opinionated and headstrong, but fair-minded. I think there is a fine middle road to life, a place where one takes it seriously, but not too seriously. I believe in love, laughter, compassion, God, and the joy of sharing with people in my world. I cannot tolerate willful ignorance, and I lament the loss of good manners and cordial relationships. I believe that when we unjustly attack others-verbally, emotionally, or physically-we diminish ourselves. A few years ago when I turned 60, I told my kids that I at last consider myself middle-aged since I plan to live to be 120. Was that a threat? Come along and see! |
