| Introduction | Laura is a Library Media Specialist at Rush-Henrietta High School. Before that, she was a Lead Bookseller at Barnes & Noble, where she ran the Graphic Novel and Manga sections. This job helped her see what teens were buying and which series they would "destroy" by repeated in-store reading. She believes that there is a need and place for graphic format materials in all teen centered collections, that they promote the necessary 21st century skill of graphic-text media literacy, and that just like will full-text books, some titles are better than others. |
