| Introduction | . I grew up on a North Pennine hill farm in Cumbria where the landscape and ever-changing weather was very much a feature of our daily life. Cloud watching and appreciation of the seasons was inevitable. Now I live in rural Northumberland, with my family and dog. I can often be found, mug of tea in hand, staring out of the window, watching clouds scuttle across the moor, or trying to predict whether there'll be a cloud inversion in the valley below tomorrow. When I'm taking photographs, I am completely in the moment, connecting with the landscape. We all need somewhere to turn in these turbulent times. I can completely lose myself (sometimes literally) when I'm wandering in the hills with my camera and forget about all my pressures and worries. Visually, my images capture the changing light of the seasons on the landscapes. I aim to capture moments of peace and solitude, as well as embracing the mood and atmosphere of the moment. I hope I can convey some of that through these images. There may also be sheep �� If I'm ever brave enough, there may be some writing too. |
