Introduction | Oracle 8i, 9i, and 10g Certified Professional (OCP) and 20 years of Oracle DBA experience (includes Oracle 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12). My former employer of over 9 years, SGX Pharmaceuticals, was acquired by Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals in 2008. As a Research Scientist I now support the Structural Biology LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) database applications, underlying Oracle Databases, and IT infrastructure for the Lilly Biotechnology Center (LBC) in San Diego. I graduated in 1990 with a degree in Applied Mathematics with Emphasis in Computer Science from San Diego State University (SDSU). My first job out of college was at ChipSoft (bought by Intuit in 1993). Throughout my tenure at Intuit I programmed on several different platforms and databases (some I’d like to forget). After leaving Intuit in 1996 I finally achieved full time DBA status and by 1998 I was supporting multiple Oracle 7.x databases. I also have past experience as a Sybase DBA and Microsoft SQL Server. Specialties: Oracle database administration. Manage large scale database and programming projects. Oracle RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, PL/SQL, Oracle performance tuning. |
