| Introduction | BIOGRAPHY: I am a visual artist, designer, scenographer and IATSE Alaska Local 918 studio mechanic with studios in Alaska and British Columbia. BA: Studio Art - SJSU / MA: Theatre Production - CWU. ARTIST STATEMENT: The origin of all my current artwork is TRASH! It is an eco-friendly visual improvisation reclaimed and restructured from discarded, forgotten, and found objects. I routinely scour and comb the beach, thrift shop, dump and my home for the junk that is the raw material for both concept and construction. This ecological work is deeply informed by the rich and great artistic traditions of the indigenous cultures that first inspired me many years ago in British Columbia and Alaska. |
