| Introduction | Brandis will be completing her MA in English and Gender Studies in December of 2008. Her focus is on the promotion and empowerment of women through global networking and media. Prior to graduate school, Brandis worked as an analyst in Institutional Equity Sales at Merrill Lynch. During her military career, she served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy onboard the USS McCampbell, deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and the Global War on Terror. A 2005 alumnus of The US Naval Academy, Brandis obtained a BS in English and played on Navy’s nationally ranked women’s lacrosse team. She is an active member of 85Broads, AcademyWomen.org, the Business Council for Peace, and The Naval Academy Association of New York. |
