| Introduction | Of course I knew everything as a teenager (didn't we all?). Then I hit my 20's, became a mother and realised how none of the knowledge I had prepared me for ensuring a small human or two stayed alive. Follow that with becoming a widow, single parenthood (which is where you discover absolutely everyone knows how to raise your children better than you do!), remarriage and divorce, peaceful solitude, partnership, owning a small business, widowhood (again!!) and working more rather than retiring..... Well, it turns out I didn't know that much in those early years. So here's what I know now. |
