About me

Location California
Introduction I grew up in a small town called Hancock at the edge of the known universe, in northern Michigan. It is one of the most beautiful places you can imagine, surrounded by miles and miles of trees and pristine Lake Superior shoreline. The sunsets are like no others in the world. However, it's also a little like growing up on a remote island where most people are related to each other and those that aren't live next door. I couldn't wait to get out and see the world! After high school, I ventured east to go to school at a wonderful women's liberal arts college in Massachusetts, where I discovered feminism, poetry, the joys of friendship, and Jesus. After a few dark post-college years of trying to find my way in life, I settled into helping other college students discover Jesus. After four years of student ministry, I moved to Los Angeles to get my Master's degree in theology at Fuller Seminary. I'm married to a brilliant theology-reading, saxophone-playing, Jesus-following man, for whom I am deeply grateful, and we're expecting a baby boy named Ethan at the end of September.
Interests Poetry, theology, seeing the world.
