| Introduction | Virginia Betts is a tutor, writer, poet and actor from Suffolk. She has written numerous articles and fiction, written for stage and radio, and published four books, The Camera Obscure (supernatural stories) Tourist to the Sun, (poetry) That Little Voice (poetry) and a punk novel, Burnt Lungs and Bitter Sweets. This novel, a story of four friends over four decades and deals with addiction , friendship and love. It is book of the week at Felixstowe Book Festival 2025.She is the stanza rep for the Suffolk Poetry Society, a member of The Poetry Society, Equity, the Writer's Guild, and The Suffolk Book League. She runs Results Tutoring in Ipswich, and is a regular actor with Black and White Productions. |
