| Introduction | I am a self-taught mixed-media artist and have always loved art. I spent many years making fabric quilts and knitting. Then came a decade scrapbooking my heritage family photos. My biggest leap in art was discovering ATC's and Altered Art. That is when I really got hooked. I love any kind of paper. For as long as I can remember, I have always liked old things. I enjoy taking photos, assembling vintage style collage art, reading gothic novels and stories of the "Old South." Purchasing my first digital camera prompted me to begin learning more about the beauty of digital art on my own. I purchased many books hoping to find the answers, but became frustrated with not knowing how to use the tools. Then came online classes taught by Gail Schmidt of Creative Workshops. That's when a whole new world opened up. I love traveling with my trusty camera. I wish I lived by the sea or at least had my dream of a cottage on the beach. There is always some kind of art cluttering my desk at all times. Discovering the blogging world has opened yet another artistic phenomenon. I love visiting as many blogs as I can. Thank you for stopping by. |
