| Introduction | I live in East Harlem, aka Spanish Harlem and El Barrio, in Manhattan, New York City. In addition to literature, I am an avid music lover, especially of first-wave punk and all kinds of "alternative" music. I am fortunate enough to have my own occasional radio show on WNTI, "Anarchy in the N.J.," and I had the great honor of writing the articles on Al Green and Parliament-Funkadelic for "The African American Encyclopedia." I've been a vegetarian for 33 years, a beer-lover for even longer, and am blessed to live in what I consider the greatest neighborhood in the greatest city in the world. When I'm not exploring the infinite restaurant and beer-related opportunities NYC offers, I am often running in Central Park, or visiting a new museum exhibit. This blog will cover a wide variety of literary, musical, and political topics. |
