| Introduction | I took my first stitches in a piece of crewel work at the age of four--that was not the craft I was looking for. Grandma taught me to knit in my early teens; I still do that on rare occasions, but I knew that wasn't what I was looking for either. I started my first cross-stitch project in college, and knew I'd found my hobby. About ten years later it was joined by needlepoint, and I've been starting projects in both ever since.
