Introduction	Sense & Dance is an artistic research project that examines the interrelationship between dance and sensory stimuli. The project is a platform for developing a new kind of sensual arts. The project is supportet by the Danish Arts Councils, which has given support to the development of this new knowledge and artistic experience. Ingrid Kristensen is leading the project and wants to put dance on the global cultureagenda. The project explores new ways of presenting dance experiences to new and unfamiliar audiences, while focusing on developing dance experiences in other formats than the usual scene. In the three years period Sense & Dance runs, a series of prototypes of dance installations, performances with sensory experiments and a series of tests and observations on the audience's reaction to the encounter with the sensuous artistic experience is developed. Sense & Dance retrieves, among others, the knowledge and coaching from an Innovation Council consisting of 24 members. These members represent the highest overall professionalism and experience in art, sensory research, communication, experiences and international perspectives.
