Introduction	In January 2005, life as I knew it came to a screeching halt on what began as a cold, normal day. I was the proud mom to 3 beautiful children, Bobby, age 7, Evan, age 6 and Katie, age 3. On January 21, my precious daughter, Katie, was killed after a large unsecured wardrobe cabinet fell on top of her. My two young sons watched in horror as their baby sister took her last breath. Shortly after her death I learned that at that time, the CPSC stated that between 8 to 10,000 people were injured yearly as the result of furniture tip-over. My daughter was one of the 6 who were killed. I am a firm believer that education is the first step in preventing this type of tragedy. By raising awareness of the hidden dangers of unsecured furniture, we can help decrease the over 42,000 injuries associated with it at present. Please help us to protect our greatest treasures, our children.
