| Introduction | We are so excited about having a home of our own and can't wait to achieve this. We both work full time so will need to get a builder to build our house but on weekends plan to do as much as we can ourselves. This is our Blog for our house build in Co. Cork. Lots and lots to do, so we decided to record it all here!!! The house is going to be an L-Shaped two storey house, 2,500 sq ft. We are going with ICF (Insulated concrete form) build, concrete floors and stairs, solar panels, underfloor heating was planned but no longer, HRV (heat recovery ventilation), wood stove boiler in the kitchen linked to a buffer tank that will heat the house (and backup boiler maybe oil also linked to the buffer tank) and an inset wood stove in the lounge. |
