| Introduction | I am an audio engineer. It was not a question of choosing this field because the field chose me. I was forced to play the violin when I was twelve years old. The resonant quality of the instrument fascinated me. When I was playing, I felt as if there were infinite pitches that I could achieve. The emotions that I personally felt when playing a piece had an effect on me that translated itself into the music I listened to and composed. It would affect me for the rest of my life, especially after I was forced to stop playing. I realized I felt fulfillment when I listened to, critiqued, composed music, new sounds, artists, producers, engineers, and technology that I admired. Exploring, challenging, and improving my creativity to find out my weaknesses and strengths became my mission. Being among my peers, who shared the same passion only fueled the drive more. There is something soothing and fulfilling about being able to create something that is audibly pleasing. There is something divine about being inspired from the smallest, insignificant to the most complex and chaotic entities and translating that into a waveform for the next person to listen to and say I hear you. |
