Introduction	I am interested in so many things, but the one thing that seems to stand out most for me is my continued interest in allowing my children to develop naturally. I want to get out of the way of what nature has in store for them, and I want to surround them with opportunity so that they can seize whatever moment...opportunity that speaks to them. I want my children to develop to their fullest potential, and the way I can do that is by making sure that opportunity is there, their environment is prepared, and they feel empowered and confident in their choices. I am a Montessori trained mom. I spend much of my time preparing Montessori environments; our home, my classroom, and my parent education classes. The idea of Normal by Nature comes from Maria Montessori’s discovery that each child has potential. Each child is, by nature, driven to build himself in the environment he lives, to fulfill his potential, and if surrounded by opportunity this will happen. However, if we get in the way, if we create obstacles, developmental energy is waisted on overcoming the obstacle and not put to its best use.
