Introduction	fort & field began in 2004 as a dream of a fanciful shop filled with retro party and packaging supplies, the perfect gift, and unique finds. The companies roots began as I started selling traditional red & white striped bakers twine as the trend just began to catch on. My interest in packaging expanded to include the striped paper treat bags, which have also grown so popular. Since these early years, a whole world of amazing products have been unearthed and the dream shop I envisioned has become a reality. Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I explored 40 acres of field and woods, played store with my two sisters, and sewed and crafted with my mom. The fort & field name grew out of this lifelong love for the home and garden..."fort" for home and "field" for garden. fort & field is bright colors, vintage inspired with a modern flair, beautiful yet practical. This blog was created as a way to share inspiration to utilize all of the wonderful products from fort & field.
