IntroductionI’m inspired to know there are a lot of people who value the urgency we all should have in improving youth education. Recently, I helped form a new non-profit organization called The Better Detroit Youth Movement, a coalition of positive-minded individuals and groups who are committed to working together to uplift the quality of life and learning for and with our city’s children. While strides have been made, there’s still so much we can and must do. Here’s how you can learn more about The BDYM (www.betterdetroityouth.org) or UniTee Design and its programs, products and mission (www.uniteedesign.com). I'm also organizing The 1st National Black TEEN Empowerment Expo in NYC, an event supported by other community outreach, coalition building and youth engagement initiatives. I ardently believe all our children really need to believe and succeed is all of us. R.
