Introduction	After getting the sketch book out of a storage box, I started drawing again last year and it was the most refreshing thing I have done in centuries.. I use graphite, charcoal and pastel on paper for most of my drawings. I love the textures charcoal gives and it's flexibility on the paper. I have a process for selecting subjects that can be a lot more complex than picking up anything and drawing away..which is why I'm always motivated and inspired to draw :) I had an encounter with a fellow artist recently and he said to me 'each line that is drawn has a journey and I dig the stories it can tell' which I thought was very deep and true to me.
