| Introduction | I have been orchestrator, associate composer, conductor and score programmer for 21 feature films and TV series, 15 albums, conductor of studio orchestras, including Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for feature film Frauds. Many of the media I have contributed to have achieved critical and popular acclaim, including BAFTA Award (The Making of Longbird), Best Film Score (Crush), an Oscar (Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert), Platinum record sales (Come In Spinner - ABC), Australian Aria Award nomination (Cash Landing – EMI Music) and over 1.7 million YouTube hits as arranger/conductor for the Glenfiddich 21yo whisky campaign. Stars in films I have orchestrated include Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Phil Collins, Josephine Byrnes, Lee Majors, Jack Scalia, Bob Peck, Guy Pearce, Terence Stamp, Torvill & Dean. I am currently a Lecturer in Music (part time) on the Associated Staff of The University of Edinburgh. My current commissions are to compose a trio for the Hindemith Trio in Rome, and a new 4 movement symphony for the Orchestra of the Canongait. |
