Introduction So, why honey badger? Well. There we were on the couch watching TV and a documentary about a small, vicious, stubborn but somehow cute animal came on. The Honey Badger got its name from loving honey so much that it has become partly immune to the poisonous sting of the honey bee. It finds a bee hive, crawls in and lies there lapping honey and can take several hundreds of stings from the angry bees before having to make its escape. (Too greedy individuals stays for too long and actually dies.) The honey badger is also the only natural predator going after the cobra. In this particular documentary a cub of only a few days/weeks hesitated for just a split second before aggressively attacking a wild dog sneaking up upon its nest when the mother was away. And so, there we have it. A small, tough, stubborn, (stupidly) fearless but kind of pretty beast with a sweet tooth. And Anton had found my new nickname. I guess he really does love me.
