IntroductionIf you have ever seen the 1965 film 'The Hallelujah Trail' then you will know without any doubt whatsoever like Brian Keith's character Frank Wallingham, I am proudly "...and a Good Republican!" And, of course, a Good Free Republican at FreeRepublic.com
InterestsPolitics, FreeRepublic.com, Politico, Drudge Report, Fox News, Space.com, seablogger.com, IMDb.com, TCM.com, TrekToday.com, ESPN, NFL.com, Dallas Cowboys.com, Classic Films & actor from the 40s, 50s, 60s aand 70s and current history since WW2
Favorite moviesMost of the new films noadays doe not interest me for the most part. As Sam Goldywn said before I was born, "Pictures are for entertainment, messages should be delivered by Western Union." As to my favorite, good war films from the WW2 era's "Sergeant York, Bataan, They Were Expendable" to the postwar "Sands of Iwo Jima, Battleground, Pork Chop Hill" and on into the last good one, Mel Gibson's 2002 "We Were Soldiers." Add in any western by John Ford, John Wayne, Gary Cooper, William Wyler and such. Gadzooks, I could list about 10,000 movies here, but I'll stop here.
Favorite musicBig Band and pop music from the 50s & 60s
Favorite booksEverything ever written by Robert A. Heinlein, especially "Starship Troopers." Considering what Paul Verhoeven did to Heinlein's book in his 1997 film, we should do to Verhoeven what Russia recently did to Georgia. I also love the writings of W.E.B. Griffin, Tom Clancy and Leon Uris, especially both his novel and screenplay "Battle Cry." Enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies of politicians, historical personages and film stars from the 1930s through 1970s like Errol Flynn & David Niven to Michael Caine.

Oscillate my metallic sonatas with your plan for the Panama canal:

No, I hit that sucker without any remorse!
