Introduction	David Foley (A.K.A. D. Solis) was born and raised on the sunny central coast of California by an American Father of Irish decent and a Guatemalan Mother of Spanish decent. Since boyhood, David has excelled in his unique brand of self-taught artistry while winning various community and scholastic recognitions. After traveling and working in Spain during the the late 1980's, David returned to the U.S. with a renewed sense of talent for human and natural artistic interests. He has been a successful clinical massage therapist for the past 14 years working with large corporations and sports organizations. David works with "sculpted canvas." Using a special mixture of discarded paper, plastic and other ingredients, he hand-shaped his first design to create a rich and alive appearance to his work... a style he is known for over the years. To give a nod to his mother's artistic side of the family, David began signing his artwork "D. Solis" to incorporate her maiden name. Today David lives and works in the shadow of the great Wasatch Mountain Range near Salt Lake City, Utah, to be close to his daughter and the amazing outdoors.
