| Introduction | Who are you? What is this blog about? I'm Alex, a senior Psychology and Sociology major at the University of Idaho. I'm creating this blog for my class SOC 404 - Family, Violence, and Society. In this blog I will write my reactions, things I expect to learn, and things that I do learn through my readings and discussions done in this class. While this blog is graded I want it to be more than just an assignment. I want it to be a touch and go Mecca of Knowledge. I will be debunking social myths that many of us hear on a daily basis as well as providing myself and you the reader, with plenty of knowledge on social issues and trends about violence and the family in society. I also hope this will generate discussion among you and your peers. It is gravely important that we talk about all of our social problems...and better yet do what we can to help solve them. Before I end this long rant I would like to end with quote from Gandhi that I think all people should hear: "Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it" Read.
