| Introduction | Welcome to 3C! I hope you enjoy our year together. |
| Interests | Dear 3C Students and Families, Welcome to the 2009-2010 3C blog. I am looking forward to reading your comments on the posts I create over the upcoming year. Please make sure to sign your name, and remember, anyone visiting this blog can read what you have shared. So, if you have a private concern, or something you wish to discuss with me, please call or email me. I will be sure to get back to you right away. Also, the comments section is for parents only - the kids are with me every day and can talk to me in person! If you have time, check out our blog's archives - you have been on my mind all summer long.:) Sincerely, Dr. Ciway P.S. Be sure to check out the fun sites I have posted below my profile. Explore and enjoy! It is hard to believe, but I have been teaching at LWS for over 14 years! My husband's name is Jim and we have been married for just over 27 years. We have two wonderful daughters: Connie 26, (who now brings with her my son-in-law Ryan) and Cathie, who is 21 and attending Concordia University, Mequon WI. I also have a cat named Lilly and a dog named Cobber - they are a big part of our family. In addition to teaching at Louise White, I also teach for Northern Illinois University and Benedictine University as part of their adjunct faculties. If I had to pick and choose one thing that I feel passionate about, I would have to say "family". This includes not only my own family, but the families of all my students - past, present, and those yet to come. I believe with all my heart that all families are overflowing with knowledge and opportunities for my students and I to grow and learn. My greatest wish for this year (as it is every year) is that my families and I will become true partners in learning for the benefit of their children. I want to welcome them all into our little 3C community and offer them a chance to share what they know and love with us. |
| Favorite movies | The Harry Potter series, Mad Hot Ballroom, Anything at all with Colin Firth. I like period pieces like Sense and Sensibility (in particular the one with Emma Thompson.) |
| Favorite music | Five For Fighting is my all-time favorite! I also like many others - the Eagles, Sara Bareilles, Rod Stewart, Gavin DeGraw. I also really enjoy the solitude and beauty of piano solo pieces. |
| Favorite books | The Miraculous Journey of Edward Toulaine, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, and anything that has Skippyjohn Jones in it! |
